The declassification rules of the Italian authorities require the designation Vino Bianco for this top-class white wine based on 100% Friulano grapes, which is one of the great indigenous white wines of the Friuli region. The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness, destemmed and then gently pressed.

In the far north of Italy, not far from Venice and very close to Cividale del Friuli on the border to Austria and Slovenia, a very special microclimate favours the vines of Altùris. The Julian Alps protect the vineyards from the harsh northern winds, while the mild Adriatic breeze creates a mild climate and ideal conditions for the production of high-quality wines.
