We love wine. A sip of wine with a good meal leads to harmony in the mouth and triggers our well-being. No wonder, since it is a natural substance extracted from the earth, just like our food. At least in the normal case, if the whole synthetic additives are renounced. For us, wine belongs on the dining table, as do spices and herbs, which are also intended to further refine a good meal.

The crux with the quantity. You certainly know that, too. A bottle of wine for four is a good size, while the same bottle size is too small for six people and tends to be too big for two. And what about the aperitif before dinner? Perhaps a refreshing rosé? Or the wine accompaniment to the meal; white with fish, red with meat? No problem at the restaurant, at home it is. Unless you could draw your wine directly from the respective wine barrel in the desired quantity.

Bag-in-Box is the wine barrel that fits into every household. To have the right quantity of the desired variety at your disposal does not need to remain a wish. And that's exactly why the Bag-in-Box first made it into our private lives and then - thanks to many positive comments from friends - matured into a business idea.

Judge for yourself. Bag-in-Box struggles with prejudices, or even better: prejudgement. By the way, it is fundamentally wrong to describe our fine wines as wine from a carton or tetrapack. The wine only comes into contact with containers that have been specially developed for the food industry. More and more winegrowers are buying a bottling line for *PE bags in addition to the bottling line. Our wines are basically bottle qualities.
*PE stands for polyethylene (further information under the heading "Good to know").

Statutory declassification can be misleading. Italy and beyond that also still individually each province, prescribes a declassification, for wines, which are not sold in bottles. As a result, even a DOC quality in a Bag-in-Box may not be designated as such. Exceptions confirm the rule. Therefore, we are very happy to be able to offer you a Pinot Grigio with DOC designation in a Bag-in-Box. In extreme cases, the legislation even means that the winegrower may not even name the specific intraregional origin and in one case the name of the grape may not appear on the label. In certain Italian provinces, the grape may not be mentioned in general. The label may say "Rosso della Terra", even though the Bag-in-Box offers excellent top quality for its connoisseurs.

Try out our varieties. We start with a small selection of eight selected Bag-in-Box wines. This self-restriction was difficult for us, because we know so many excellent wine qualities, which all would have deserved to advertise for themselves in our shop.

Feedback desired. Write to us. Share your joys and disappointments with us. Describe what is important to you with a wine. We will permanently check our assortment and adapt it to your needs.

We look forward to hearing from you.
