About a year ago we decided to develop a business model out of our private passion. Bag-in-box wine is little known in our latitudes and also has a bad image. Wrongly! Ultimately, the Bag-in-Box wine follows an ancient tradition. For centuries, our southern neighbours in particular have been eating table wine during their main meals. Whereas it used to be picked up from the winegrower in the so-called Damigiana in sizes of up to 54 litres, we have decided on a variant that is better suited to our times. The 5-litre bag-in-box.
We have made a selection of three white, one rosé and three red wines for you to open your new Bag-in-Box wine shop. All seven varieties come from hand-picked wine producers from Friuli in Italy, some of whom we have known for years. Friuli is a landscape in the extreme northeast of Italy around the city of Udine and forms the majority of the autonomous region Friuli Venezia Giulia, with the capital Trieste.
